BrandellBrandell Adams

Brandell Adams is a 31 year old Saginaw County native. He attended Brucker Elementary and Bridgeport Middle school as well as Jessie Loomis Elementary and Central Middle in the City of Saginaw. Brandell graduated from Bridgeport High School in 2008. He then went on to attain an A.S. in Business at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids before finishing his B.A. in Psychology at Saginaw Valley. He is in his second year at Concord Law School.

Brandell is honored by the privilege to serve as a Trustee on the Bridgeport Charter Township Board. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the NAACP-Saginaw branch where serves as Assistant Treasurer. Brandell is currently an Office Professional in the Registrar's Office at Delta College, specializing in Master Scheduling, subpoena requests, FERPA requests, and transcript evaluation.


roberta placherpicRoberta Placher

Roberta joined the Board of Trustees in August 2020. She has resided in Bridgeport all of her life and is a Bridgeport High School graduate. Roberta and her husband Sam have been married for over 42 years. They have raised 3 sons and have one grandson. Roberta and her husband own their own business together in Bridgeport.

Roberta is a member of the Bridgeport Downtown Development Authority and has been the Chairperson for the last 3 years. In addition, she had served on the Bridgeport Board of Review, until taking her position on the Township Board. She has been a member of the Bridgeport Boy Scouting program for over 30 years in which she watched a number of Scouts, including two of her sons, obtain the highly esteemed title of Eagle Scout. In addition, she has served as a board member of the Bridgeport Gun Club. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the lake and walking in the woods.

Her goal as a Trustee is to represent her community by listening to ideas from the residents and business owners that may help shape the Township and create an even better Bridgeport.


darrellpicDarrell Thayer

Darrell Thayer is an avid believer in Bridgeport. His goal as a member of the Bridgeport Township Board of Trustees is to stay positive, productive and creative to help complete Bridgeport’s goal of providing a safe, prosperous and friendly community.

Darrell and his wife, Shawn, enjoy their home of over 25 years in Bridgeport. They have raised two sons in the Bridgeport School District. Darrell served as a board member of the Bridgeport-Spaulding Community School Board. He currently sits on the board of the Birch Run Bridgeport Area COC. Darrell serves on the Bridgeport Downtown Development Authority board. He was interim township supervisor until the position was filled by the election of Augie Tausend. He served as a member of the Bridgeport Township Water Board and the Bridgeport United Community Task Force.

Darrell is the president of the family owned business of Iwen Tool Supply Company on Dixie Hwy in Bridgeport Township. He attends SVUPC church in Bridgeport with his family. His hobbies include snowmobiling, boating, camping and being a grandfather.


Calvin WilliamsCalvin Williams

Calvin joined the Board of Trustees in June 2015 and has lived in Bridgeport for over forty years. He retired from Oakland Community College after twenty five years of service. He was given the Distinguished Emeritus Status Award for outstanding service to the college by a committee of colleagues on April 11, 2014. His goal is to help Bridgeport remain as a safe and healthy community to raise a family.

Calvin and his wife, Delores, has raised two children in Bridgeport and both graduated from Bridgeport-Spaulding High School. Calvin was instrumental in establishing Bridgeport Public Library and served on the Library Board for many years. He currently serves on the Bridgeport Planning Commission, Vice Chairperson, Saginaw County Public Health Board, Saginaw County Planning Commission, HealthSource Advisory Board Member, Member, Selective Service Board, Region 1, President, Southfield Village Improvement Association and Board Member, Children’s Christmas Stores. He is also a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He attends Bethel AME Church where he serves as Assistant Treasurer and on the Board of Trustees.
