RED FLAG WARNING

Due to dry conditions, coupled with forecasts for warmer than normal temperatures, low humidity levels, and higher winds, it has been deemed unsafe to conduct open burning at this time.

Conditions will be re-evaluated by the Fire Chief once we have received a significant rain and/or ground vegetation moisture content has increased.

All previously issued burn permits are no longer valid.   Anyone found to be burning will be required to extinguish the fire. Willful failure to comply with this order may result in a citation.

We are following the lead of the DNR, who have stopped issuing permits statewide,  and have declared several areas as "red zones".   We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep our community safe!
