The treatment Plant was upgraded in 1985 to an Extended Aeration - Activated Sludge (Oxidation Ditch) Plant. The design capacity is 3.4MGD with a current annual average flow of .932MGD. There are over 48 miles of gravity sewer and six lift stations which are maintained by the Wastewater Treatment Plant Staff. This facility through the Sewer Use Ordinance and available capacity can accommodate any type of business interested in locating in Bridgeport Township.
The general sewer district occupies the northwest corner of Bridgeport Township. It also follows the Dixie Highway corridor southeasterly to Junction Rd and down Junction Rd to Reimer Rd.
