| Beginning
in 1998 Patrick Gilles has served the township in many ways including six
years as Trustee, six years on the Roads & Drains committee, four years
on the Personnel committee and two years on the Zoning Board of appeals.
He moved into his current position as Supervisor after winning the 2004
election.
Some of Mr. Gilles accomplishments include; in 1999 he helped secure
a grant for $70,000 to clear a log jam in the Cass river. Also started
a drop off site for the spring and fall township wide cleanup, at no cost
to the residents. Increased the Roads & Drains budget from $70,000
to over $200,000 a year.
He maintains memberships with the Bridgeport Bandits Sports Association,
Bridgeport-Spaulding Athletic Association and the United Brotherhood of
Carpenter’s Local Union 1045 for over 25 years.
Mr. Gilles is married and has
four sons and one granddaughter. His hobbies include gardening and yard
work.
