How much will it cost me?
An ad valorem, or “by value,” millage must be approved by the voters. It is levied on both real and personal property. In Michigan, taxation of personal property pertains only to businesses and includes furniture, tools, machinery, computers and other equipment.
The new funding will represent a 2.5 mill levy. To find a closer approximation of your actual cost, use the table below or our calculator.
